On the 27th of september, 2008 Chris Rock's latest HBO comedy special Kill The Messenger was released. Chris Rock's Kill the Messenger is the comedians fifth HBO comedy special. Kill The Messenger was a massive world tour, performing around the world.
Chris Rock's stand up comedy show, Never scared, had its opening in 2004. It was taped the same year, at DAR constitution Hall in Washington DC. Chris Rock's Never Scared was released on DVD on August 31, 2004.
Chris Rock's Bigger and Blacker HBO comedy special was taped in 1999, at Apollo Theater in Harlem and was released as an album the same year, on the 13th of July. Bigger and Blacker premiered on the 10th of july, 1999, being one of Chris Rock's best stand up comedy shows.
Chris Rock's Bring The Pain stand up comedy show had its premiere on the 1st of june, 1996. It was filmed in Washington DC, being Chris Rock's second comedy special for HBO, after 1994's Big Ass Jokes. Although Chris Rock was already a well-known comedian, Bring the Pain made him one of the most popular stand up comedians in the United States.

The British comedian Eddie Izzard was invited to perform in South Africa, to help raise funds for Nelson Mandela's charities. The event is organized by 46664 and Real Concerts and Eddie Izzard's stand up comedy shows will be performed on six consecutive nights, in three towns, between 2 - 7 February 2010.

Chris Rock gets a new chance with a French movie, being set to translate La Premiere Etoile (The First Star).
The stand up comedian, better known for his stand up comedy albums: Kill the messenger, Never scared or Bigger and Blacker than for his movies, bought the rights for the French movie La Premiere Etoile.

Comedy Central announced that won't be a second season of The Jeff Dunham Show. The comedian and ventriloquist Jeff Dunham signed last year in March, a multi-face deal with Comedy Central, deal which included along with a stand up comedy special, and a DVD release, a new six-episode series, titled The Jeff Dunham Show.
