Chris Rock gets a new chance with a French movie, being set to translate La Premiere Etoile (The First Star).

The stand up comedian, better known for his stand up comedy albums: Kill the messenger, Never scared or Bigger and Blacker than for his movies, bought the rights for the French movie La Premiere Etoile.

Chris Rock's stand up comedy special Kill The Messenger has three nominations for the 2009 Emmy Awards. On the 16th of July 2009 the Emmy nominees were announced, one of the favorite nomenees being the popular comedian Chris Rock.

Chris Rock has signed a deal for his new comedy book, with Grand Central Publishing. Chris Rock has come back as an author after Rock This, published in 1997 is not yet titled, but is scheduled to be released in 2010.

Chris Rock is "selling" himself for the Journey for Change: Empowering Youth Through Global Service, a program started by the comedian's wife, Malaak Compton-Rock.

In order to sustain the cause Journey for Change, Chris Rock is the auction, and the highest bidder gets to spend a day with the comedian on the set of his new movie Death of A Funeral, in which he stars with Martin Lawrence.
