George Carlin begins Rehab

George Carlin decided to enter an alcohol and drug treatment program, to stop his dependence on alcohol and Vicodin painkillers. The comedian stated that the alcohol rehab and drug rehab were his choice, because he acknowledges his problems.

"I'm going into rehab because I use too much wine and Vicodin. I recognized the problem and took the step myself", stated the legendary comedian in the statement released by Jeff Abraham, his publicist. George Carlin also said that he had never been before in a drug rehab center and the facility name or location were not disclosed.

Famous for George Carlin 7 words, the comedian said in the same statement that he is motivated and he will do what ever is needed in order to solve his problems.

George Carlin’s book, "When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops?"  is currently on best-seller lists, and the comedian, now 67, will take a break after the rehab. "When I get out, I will take a little time for myself before resuming my schedule".
