On December, 10, 2005 the stand up comedian Richard Pryor died in Encino, California at 65 years old. The cause of Richard Pryor death was heart attack as the doctors said. After last year when he was voted no. 1 stand up Comedian of All time on Comedy Central list, Richard Pryor didn't get to see his 66th birthday, the comedian dying only 9 days after his 65th birthday.
Richard Pryor's wife tried to resuscitate him, but didn't succed, so she brought him to the hospital, where the godfather of modern comedy died at 7:58. Richard Pryor was cremated and the ashes were given to the family.
In 2006, Richard Pryor was posthumously awarded the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, for a career of over 40 years, during of which Richard Pryor's movies had marked us and Richard Pryor's stand up comedy shows gave all of us a new sense of humour.
