The Jeff Dunham Show drew 5.3 million viewers on it's debut, Jeff Dunham's puppets, Peanut, Walter, Achmed and Bubba J and the comedian attracting both positive and negative critics, but the ratings fluctuated during the season and the reviews weren't so great in the end.
Even though Comedy Central decided not to renew the Jeff Dunham Show for a second season, the spokesman Steve Albany from Comedy Central stated that "will be in business with Jeff in a big way", so the merchendasing, the stand up special, the new Jeff Dunham DVD and the live tour are still in plan, the only part that won't be renewied, being the network show.
